About Day Camp

Day Camp presents an opportunity for rising 1st-6th graders to experience many of the great things Miniwanca has to offer. Campers will spend days with their action teams playing together and challenging themselves in a positive, friendly atmosphere. Whether on the sand dunes or the shores of Stony Lake, fun is just around the corner!

Schedule

Monday – Thursday

The day begins with the entire camp community gathering for assembly, where action teams are launched into the day.

In the morning campers will tube down Stony Creek, be challenged with the climbing wall, hike and climb "Old Baldy," Miniwanca’s signature sand dune.

Afternoons are filled with time at the beach, craft projects, and a variety of additional activities that campers will be able to choose.

Lunch will be provided, as well as morning and afternoon snacks.

Friday

Friday at Day Camp is a special extended day. Campers will take a short hike to our well site to spend the day swimming and playing on Lake Michigan. After a fun-filled day at the lake, we'll head back to the main site for the Friday evening activities.

*Attention Parents*

Friday evening we invite all our parents to join us for dinner and our closing ceremony. Parents are welcome to join us at 5pm for games and a barbeque on Bryant Field. Dinner will start around 5:30pm. At 6:30pm we will begin our closing ceremony where we will celebrate our week with songs and camper awards. For those parents who can not attend buses will arrive at schools with your camper at 7:30pm.
