welcome to miniwanca

sailboat on Stony

Miniwanca inspires participants to discover and develop their personal best, to seek balance in mental, physical, social, and spiritual living and to make a positive difference in their communities and in the wider world.

Miniwanca has been leading youth development programs since 1925. Set on 360 wooded acres and a mile of private Lake Michigan shoreline, Miniwanca is a breathtaking and inspiring setting for growth. Towering sand dunes and pines line our beach and a second, inland lake provides the perfect setting for swimming, sailing, and canoeing.

With a capacity of almost 1000 participants, Miniwanca maintains a year-round staff of professionals assuring the safety and quality of all our programs. We are accredited by the American Camp Association.

Summer Camp offers one- to six-week opportunities for campers entering grades 3-12. The National Leadership Conference offers high school and college students an experience in developing character, leadership skills, and group effectiveness while nurturing balance within life. Community and School Programs offer intentionally designed programs to support organizations that work with youth.
