Leadership Institute
Assisting Emerging Leaders Through Skill
Development
The AYF Leadership Institute
is a partnership program, customized in direct collaboration with a
participating high school. A group of nominated and selected students meet with
AYF professional youth developers 10-15 times during the academic year with the
goal of increasing student leadership skills.
The Leadership Institute will help emerging student leaders to reach their full
potential and make a positive difference in their schools and communities. This
program will promote positive leadership skills in high school students through
mentorship and educational activities; impact elementary students through
experiential activities that create mentoring relationships; and create a
network of trained adult mentors and educators to provide a continuum of
support. AYF Leadership Institute is made possible by a grant from the
Youth Advisory Council of the Community Foundation for Oceana County.
