The American Youth Foundation: is a non-profit organization that implements programs devoted to youth development, character education and leadership. The AYF operates 2 year-round educational centers, Camp Merrowvista in New Hampshire and camp Miniwanca in Michigan. Youth Summer Camps offering Experiential and Adventure Education, Environmental Education, ACA/AEE Accredited, ISSAC/NASSP.

Tuesday, August 31-- Friday September 3


               

New this year as a mid-week program!
There will be a Girls Camp and YG Alumni Reunion from September 3-5th 2010.
You can attend both programs!

Spend four glorious days living the camp life along the shores of Lake Michigan. You will laugh and play together while celebrating new adventures and experiencing the fun of Miniwanca with other families and individuals.

Program activities include performing in the Council Circle, the annual "Family Cup" Competition, and a variety of Waterfront Activities. Interest group options include nature hikes, climbing, boating, time on the beach and adult-centered interest groups.

All children ages 4 and up are invited to be a part of Kids Camp on Saturday. Activities during Kids Camp include the challenge course, craft time and nature hikes.

Schedule
There will be several programming options for your family during camp.  Our multiple waterfronts offer many opportunities for swimming and boating; our challenge course will offer an exciting experience; and our craft house will allow time for creativity.  The Annual Family Cup, a family-friendly competition, will utilize all of your family's unique talents.

All day and evening
Program activities all day. Official closing in the evening.

Kids Camp!
What a great opportunity for your children to have fun with other kids independent of parents.  We have lots of exciting things planned for ages 5-12.  Activities include trail walks, crafts, games, and many surprises.  Kids Camp will take place on Wednesday morning and part of the afternoon.  There is no additional charge for Kids Camp!

Reserve your spot now for 2010!  To register, print, complete, and return this registration form to Miniwanca: 2010 Alumni and Family Camp Registration FormAlso, this Health History Form needs to be completed and returned for each participant.

Please note these registration deadlines:
Early Bird Registration:
 Receive a 10% discount for registrations postmarked by July 1st, 2010
Regular Registration:  Must be postmarked by August 22, 2010
Late Registration:  All registrations received after August 22, 2010 will be applied a $30 late fee


Transportation
Miniwanca offers optional transportation services at an additional cost,

One-way - $27 per person
Round-trip - $54 per person


Tuesday Arrival Shuttle
Airport shuttle service to Miniwanca from the Grand Rapids Airport (GRR) will be provided for flights arriving prior to 4:00 p.m.  Flights must arrive at least 30 minutes prior to shuttle departure.


Friday Departure Shuttle
Return airport shuttle service will be provided from Miniwanca to the Grand Rapids Airport on Monday for flights scheduled after 2:30 p.m.
Due to the program activity schedule, we are unable to offer shuttles at any other times.
