Hello school program participant who will soon be coming to Merrowvista or Miniwanca!
We are so excited you will be joining us with your school! Merrowvista and Miniwanca are part of the American Youth Foundation which is dedicated to helping people like you learn more about yourself, as well as your friends. We're a place where we get to do all kinds of fun and challenging activities (like climbing towers, campfires, hiking, low ropes or high ropes courses, canoeing, etc.) while enjoying some of the most beautiful scenery you can imagine!
Our motto is My own self, At my very best, All the time. We can't wait until you're here so you can show off just how great your best self is!
To learn more about either Miniwanca (Michigan) or Merrowvista (New Hampshire), click on the links above. You can see a virtual tour, meet the staff, and learn about what we'll be doing while you're here.
Our cabins are new, clean and have both heat and lights. Your teachers will decide who sleeps where before you arrive, but there will be between 4 and 8 of you in the room. If you have it, you want to bring bedding or a sleeping bag and a pillow.
Our meals at camp are awesome! We eat all kinds of different foods that most kids tend to really like. For a sample menu, click here
Just so you know, there is always a vegetarian option. If you have any food allergies or specific dietary needs, just talk to your parents, guardians or teachers and we can all work together ahead of time to make sure that there will be plenty of food available for you while you're with us.
When you're here, we'll try and spend as much time as possible outside, so be sure to pack enough warm clothes and a rain coat if you have it. Check out the packing lists on the forms pages of either Miniwanca or Merrowvista. Don't worry if you don't have something, we have a few items available for you to borrow during your time here.
Just be sure not to bring any of the following things:
And, if you have 'em, it's always good to bring a water bottle and a backpack.
See you soon!
