Merrowvista Staff
Merrowvista is host to a year-round team of youth development professionals from across the nation and around the globe. Merrowvista staff come from a range of educational fields and bring unique and varied perspectives to each program. Staff are extensively trained in youth development, group facilitation and behavior management techniques for facilitating and leading participants of various ages. All of our staff have a background working with youth, are trained in First Aid and CPR, pass police background checks and love their jobs!

Joe Baty Joe has a rich history with the AYF having served six summers in a variety of capacities as well as three fall and spring seasons at Merrowvista. Joe has worked closely with all of our seasonal camps, in particular with our programs for youth with various chronic illnesses. Joe adds expertise across the board and continues to improve the organization through intentional and passionate programming for all youth. He holds a BA of History and Politics from the University of Sheffield as well as a Diploma in Outdoor Adventure.

Rachel Maliniak Rachel has the great fortune of working with youth throughout the entirety of Merrowvista's program season. As the coordinator for our summer adventure programs for teens, as well as for our school year programming, she gets to inspire youth of all ages to aspire nobly, adventure daringly, and serve humbly. She holds a degree in Human Services with a concentration in Professional Communication from Elon University.

Geno Cruz Geno's background in the visual arts allows him to design and implement innovative programs aimed at providing deeply meaningful experiences that participants can carry with them as inspiration as they move through all of life's opportunities and challenges. He holds a degree in Sculpture from Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
