Donald Danforth, Jr. dedicated his life to helping others.  He was especially devoted to helping youth.  He committed much of his life to advancing and supporting the mission, programs and people of the American Youth Foundation, serving on the Board of Directors from 1962 to 2001.

Don also loved the game of golf, and we are honored and privileged to host this memorial golf tournament bearing his name, for a cause that was so near and dear to his heart.  We are proud to report that in its first six years, the tournament has allowed us to raise over $500,000 for scholarships, and Don’s legacy lives on through the support of this event each year.

Hit ‘em straight!

You are cordially invited to participate in the seventh annual Donald Danforth, Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament benefiting the American Youth Foundation. We expect this event to be one of the best golf outings in St. Louis.

For over 80 years the American Youth Foundation (AYF) has been developing the character of St. Louis youth to influence others through lives of service. Each year, AYF’s Camps and Leadership Conferences attract hundreds of children and youth from around the world.  Research documents that AYF programs develop personal effectiveness, openness to diversity and social responsibility.

Last year, the AYF provided more than $250,000 in scholarships to our youth.  This year, our goal is to serve more children by providing even MORE scholarships for AYF Camps and Leadership Conferences. We need your help. Your participation in our Donald Danforth, Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament will help make this possible.

All levels of sponsorship will be recognized on signs at the event as well as in the printed program. More importantly, you will help AYF continue to have an impact on young people.

There are many ways you can participate:
