And….most importantly

POLAR BEAR!
20 people took part in the 2008 inaugural
dip in Lake Michigan!
Following a great day of service to our
site, we gathered together for reflection followed by time on the indoor high
ropes course where people took an opportunity to challenge themselves.
We had quite a varied group join us this
year. Some have held a lifelong connection to Miniwanca going back to the
founders while this was the first time meeting Miniwanca. Yet, at the end of the
weekend, it would be hard to tell the difference between the two! Our ages
spanned over 80 years and no matter what the age, we all found our place within
the community and we found we were young at heart!

Our thanks and gratitude go out to the over
100 volunteers who came out and gave their time. We couldn’t have successfully
prepared our site for the 2008 program season without you!
Please stay tuned for details on the 2009
Alumni Reunion and Volunteer Work Weekend!
