The AYF operates two year-round program centers, Merrowvista in New Hampshire and Miniwanca in Michigan. Programs offer experiential, adventure and environmental education. The American Youth Foundation is ACA/AEE accredited youth organization.

DAILY SCHEDULE
 
7:00 Rising Bell
7:15 Go-Getters – Optional but encouraged; we begin our day with fun and physical activities such as a hiking, playing basketball or 4-square, yoga, etc.
7:45 Cruisers - Participants help set tables for the meal.
8:00 Breakfast - Served family style.
8:45 Arlos - Participants help clean-up and do dishes from the meal.
9:00 Activity Block #1 - Example activities: high ropes, team challenge, hike, raft building, environmental studies, rock climbing, etc.
11:30 Free Time - Teacher monitored activities such as: games on the athletic field, cabin time, basketball, etc.
11:45 Cruisers - Participants help set tables for the meal
12:00 Lunch - Served family style.
12:45 Arlos - Participants help clean-up and do dishes from the meal.
1:00 Activity Block #2 - Example activities: high ropes, team challenge, hike, raft building, environmental studies, rock climbing, etc.
3:30 Snack
4:00 Option Block - Example activities: canoeing, swimming, arts and crafts, improvisation, scavenger hunt, etc.
5:00 Free Time - Teacher monitored activities such as games on the athletic field, cabin time, ultimate frisbee, etc.
5:45 Cruisers - Participants help set tables for the meal
6:00 Dinner - Served family style.
6:45 Arlos - Participants help clean-up and do dishes from the meal.
7:00 Evening Activity - Example activities: egg drop challenge, night sensory awareness walk, community fire or "council circle", etc.
8:30 Cabin Time - Participants return to cabins to prepare for bed.
9:00 Lights out
