The American Youth Foundation: is a non-profit organization that implements programs devoted to youth development, character education and leadership. The AYF operates 2 year-round educational centers, Camp Merrowvista in New Hampshire and camp Miniwanca in Michigan. Youth Summer Camps offering Experiential and Adventure Education, Environmental Education, ACA/AEE Accredited, ISSAC/NASSP.

Traveling to AYF/Miniwanca:

1. Take US 31 to the New Era exit.

a. From the south, go north from Muskegon about 35 miles and take the New Era exit. Turn left (west) onto Stony Lake Road.

b. From the north, go south from Ludington about 35 miles and take the New Era exit. Turn right (west) onto Stony Lake Road.

2. From the New Era exit, head west on Stony Lake Road approximately 5½ miles west. You will come to a T-intersection and will face our East Camp entrance. Turn right (north) onto Scenic Drive (also called County Road B-15). Follow Scenic Drive about a ½ mile along Stony Lake  to another T-intersection. On the right corner is Stony Lake Store; on the left corner is a park with a baseball diamond. Turn left (south) onto Garfield Road, wind around the road and on your left will be the American Youth Foundation sign.  Turn into the parking lot and proceed to check in at our main office building.
